It would seem that I do not deal well with deliriously beautiful weather. Sunday, sunny Sunday, on a dry, level sidewalk, I fell and slammed my shoulder, badly. Gideon, bless his heart, stared at me with puzzled devotion as I lay on the ground in front of him. Thankfully, he did not panic and bolt, as he is wont to do.
All wool work has ceased…or nearly all. I can spin a little bit if I do not do it for too long.
BUT, with the help of a lovely long list of friends, I do plan to vend at Shepherd’s Harvest again this year. I got most of the dyeing done that I had planned on doing. My friend Pauline is going to help me run batts this week as I can’t reach up to remove them from the carder. I am spending my time sewing new things for you.
The news things you will see at Shepherd’s Harvest are all the lovely scarves I have woven this year (see Gideon modeling one above.) Dyed and un dyed silk hankies. Nature printed silk scarves. Project bags.
There will be more un-dyed fibers than in the past: medium white wool, masham, polwarth, BFL/Silk, silk roving, silk hankies. Quantities are still limited as I got a lot of it dyed in April.
